Quick Fruit Salad

I love fruit of almost any kind. This is a quick easy fruit salad that can be made in advance and the longer it sits in the fridge before serving the better it is!

Real Snow – Snow Cones

This winter has been unbelievable. The “polar vortex” has definitely showed itself time and time again. With temperatures ranging from -35 to just a freezing for several weeks now dumping inches and inches of snow every couple of days we have had to find things that are fun and keep the kids entertained. First was the real snow ice cream (check that recipe if you haven’t yet) now it’s Real Snow – Snow Cones.

It is free of dairy, egg, peanut, and tree nut. Be sure the food items you use are free of these allergens to ensure your recipe is safe for your loved one by reading all labels and calling the manufacture if needed for how it is produced.

What you need:
5 cups fresh snow (yup, not the yellow snow) Make sure its fresh and clean
1 packet of your favorite Kool-Aid
1 cup sugar
1-2 cups water

How to:
Collect your 5 cups or more if needed of fresh snow.
In a separate bowl combine, Kool-Aid packet (we used grape), 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Judge the thickness as you are mixing. You want it to be more of a thicker syrupy consistency. Add more water if needed.
Fill the cup/bowl of choice with snow and pour Kool-Aid mixture over top. You be the judge how much you would like on your snow cone. Stir to combine with snow.
Serve and enjoy!
